During the Fall semester of my Senior year at Manhattan College, I had the opportunity to gain experience teaching in both high school and middle school school settings.
In my first placement, I taught Global 10 in Yonkers High School. Yonkers High School is located in the city of Yonkers at 150 Rockland Avenue. In 2008, Yonkers High School was ranked at #37 in the U.S. News & World Report Top 100 in the Nation. Yonkers High School is an International Baccalaureate School, known for challenging students to reach their full potential.
In my second placement, I taught American History in Eastchester Middle School at the 7th grade level. Eastchester Middle School is located in a middle and upper middle class town in the heart of Westchester. Eastchester Middle School is dedicated to creating a safe, secure environment in which students grow into valued members of the community.
This experience has made me confident in my teaching abilities. I am excited to start my career as a teacher. I hope you enjoy my portfolio and virtual journey through my student teaching endeavors.
